Up is a 2009 American computer-animated comedy-adventure film produced by Pixar Animation Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. The film premiered on May 29, 2009 in North America as the first animated film to premiere on the 2009 Cannes Film Festival. The film is scheduled for release on October 16, 2009 in the United Kingdom.

The film centers around a grumpy old man named Carl Fredricksen and an overeager Wilderness Explorer named Russell who fly to South America in a floating house suspended from helium balloons. The film has received overwhelmingly positive reviews with a rating of 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. A video game based on the film of the same name was released on May 26, 2009.

Up will be released on high-definition Blu-ray Disc and standard DVD in North America on November 10, 2009 and in the United Kingdom on February 12, 2010. It will contain the film plus the theatrical short Partly Cloudy and the new short Dug's Special Mission.
A 2-Disc Deluxe DVD will add an audio commentary by director Pete Docter, the documentary Adventure is Out There on the filmmakers' research journey to South America, The Many Endings of Muntz (an alternate ending of sorts), and a digital copy.
The Blu-ray edition gets double the disc count with a 4-Disc Combo Pack that adds Cine-Explore with BonusView, Global Guardian Badge and Geography games, 8 documentaries, and BD-Live to the Deluxe DVD and digital copy platters. A Limited Edition will also be available called Luxo Jr. Premium Pack which includes a collectible lamp modeled after Pixar's bouncy short star that is designed to hold a complete Pixar Blu-ray collection.

In the main work space, you can see two backup modes:
Full Disc: This will backup all contents from the DVD, including main movie, bonus features, and maybe some other extra video clips.
Main Movie: This will only backup the main movie from the DVD, excluding bonus features or other extra video clips.

All DVD drivers will be listed in the drop down list. Select the drive where the movie DVD is inserted.

Remember to choose a place where there's enough space to put the backup files.

If the Free Space of Hard Disk is smaller than the DVD Size, you should press this
button to change output folder with enough free space in the disk.
Otherwise, this prompt will appear:

There are three copy methods available of copying DVD to hard drive with DVDSmith Movie Backup. The DVD copy methods are:
Normal: For unencrypted and CSS encrypted DVD.
Lowly Enhanced: less scan times to decrypt DVD.
Highly Enhanced: more scan times to decrypt DVD.
After all DVD copying settings are done, press "Start Backup" button to start the DVD copying process.

If you decide to backup later or just want to cancel it, press "Stop Backup" button to stop the DVD copying process.
Once the backup process is finished, you can explore them on the hard disk:
(Note: above file illustration is in Full Disc mode. If using Main Movie mode, there will be different.)
After the protection is remove from the Up movie, you can use this software in conjunction with DVD burning software of your choice, to make a backup copy of any DVD video disc, or with Any DVD Converter Pro to convert your DVD folder to MP4, AVI, 3GP or other video formats for your iPod, PSP, mobile phones and many portable media players.
1. Download and install Any DVD Clone.
2. Open Disney movie Up in the program
Insert movie Up DVD disc into your DVD-ROM drive, and click
tab to load the DVD content to the program.
3. Choose the main movie title to copy.
Uncheck all DVD titles first, and then just select Title 27.
Tips:The program may not be able to discover the real main movie title because there are many potential fake titles in "Up" DVD. Thus, you may need to find out the real main movie title from the log file.
When you open "Up" movie in Any DVD Clone, please click Help >View Logs, and then open the dvdcloner.log using Notepad or other word editor. Browse the log to see if you can a line like this "copyMethod: Normal MainTitleNr: xx MainTitleSizeMB: xxxx". If the xx is not shown as -1, it means that the real main movie titles is xx. So, please go back to Any DVD Clone, and uncheck all titles in the left pane, and then just select the main movie title xx to copy.
4. Click
button to start copying the main movie content of Up .
Note: During the copying process, the program will issue a prompt like this:

Click "Cancel" to continue Up DVD copying process.
5. Start burning Up movie to blank disc.
Once the program finishes the copying process, the DVD movie disc will eject automatically, and the program will prompt you to insert a blank DVD disc:

Take out the DVD movie disc, insert a blank DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, and click "Retry" to start burning.
Note:If your DVD disc is not empty, the program will prompt you to erase the disc. Click "Yes" to automatically erase the disc.
6. Wait for a while, the movie Up will be copied to a new DVD!

Note: If you cannot copy Disney Up by following steps above, please dvdcloner.log for analyzing. Run Any DVD Clone, click menu Help > View Logs in the top right window to find dvdcloner.log file, and send it to us as an attachment at support@dvdsmith.com
